The bold, spare, metal post-and-beam construction paired with the endless walls of glass is an exhilarating living experience. The carefully selected decor and modern art barely interrupt the space but are just as bold with contemporary silhouettes and spirited use of color and animal print. The fireplace and heated stone floors bring warmth and relaxation while the outdoor decks and lounge areas take you away with the endless views.

Serene and modern, the home features three bedrooms all with handmade Stuart Houghton Tasmanian oak beds and floor to ceiling windows. One of the three baths features a truly unique, deep Huon pine tub, all with an abundance of natural light.

The fully equipped modern kitchen features all updated appliances where you can create memorable meals using the 'Wursthaus' gourmet mini bar provisions including delicious steaks, cheeses, olives, crusty bread, pasta and sauces and various breakfast provisions, or explore selections from the amazing range of local foods.

It accommodates up to 6 guests (but is wonderful just for two), children over 12 years are welcome. There is a beach at the property.

Equipped with everything you'll need to feel at home, the Coastal Glass House provides every amenity including Wifi throughout, HDTV, Bose stereo system with surround sound, an interesting collection of DVDs and books from the library, personal care bath items and luxury linens with snugly robes and slippers.

There are numerous added items that you can use to enjoy the ocean and outdoor sports including backpacks, boogie boards and wetsuits while walking and tour maps will help you get there.

The two spacious decks and gardens include a BBQ and seating for eight to enjoy the amazing views. Full laundry facilities are also included. 

The home can also be booked for events.

AROUND

With just a short walk to your own secluded beach at the bottom of the path, this is a location that's all about nature with direct access to hiking, fishing and roaming. Head to Swansea to enjoy the splendor of the east coast and be sure to visit Coles Bay, Bay of Fires, Freycinet National Parks and Maria Island. The Spikey Bridge, Kelvedon Beach and Kabuki By the Sea are all along the way on the Tasman Hwy.   

The house sits alone on a hillside overlooking the Great Oyster Bay and Maria Island in Tasmania. Hobart and Launceston are both approximately 1 1/2 hour drive from Avalon. Swansea township is an easy 12-minute drive.

BEST TIME TO VISIT: Spring and Summer (September through February) when temps are great for beach going while winter (June through August) tends to be chilly .
