A Luxuriously Simple B&B

The joie de vivre is evident immediately at this Tuscan B&B, and the attention to detail and celebration of the slow life are honored. We love the story of the passion invested and vision it took to create such a beautiful and personal retreat.

The long journey to find and restore this ninth-century farmhouse was a labor of love, and it shows. Overlooking the Tuscan countryside and nestled within rows of vineyards and olive groves, the land is alive with life.     

Renovated with a light touch and an eye for period detail, the house has been transformed into a luxurious yet simple B&B. The historical structure retains its character and heart and is infused with great vintage details and decor along with subtle contemporary touches creating an artistic and welcoming feel. Ancient stone walls, salvaged materials and doors, and stone floors still shine, alongside the minimalist, modern amenities and silhouettes.

Joined by brick archways, the farmhouse includes four complete suites with living areas and ensuite baths, while the outbuilding features two smaller double rooms, all of which have lovely garden and country views. Each has been individually updated to preserve its original characteristics and features clever and very personalized detail, and all are luxuriously peaceful.

Four Suites

Night Blue is the property's largest suite, accessed up a beautiful staircase in a panoramic loggia. Once the farmer's kitchen, the suite's sleep and living spaces are divided by an arching, antique brick wall. A wide hearth adds romance to the room as does a balcony with views over a church tower to the south and Montepulciano and a fortress to the west.

Clear Dawn is accessed from the garden via a small loggia. It is furnished with a sofa that converts to an extra double bed, and offers views across the vineyards towards Montepulciano.

Red Sunset is the smallest, but perhaps the most captivating, suite set up loft-style and open plan. Three windows and a glass door flood the space with natural light, and offer views of roaming wildlife outdoors.

Intense Green is accessed via a small private balcony at the top of a staircase and clad in ancient Tuscan terracotta. Three spaces in one, it's connected via antique steps and passages, with a decidedly historical feeling.

Two Rooms

Montepulciano is located in the annex next to the farmhouse. Cozy and independent, it features peasant style beds, antique doors, floor lighting and lime-washed walls as well as an outdoor terrace with countryside views.

These rooms can be rented together for family stays or for couples traveling together.

Additional Features

Brunch is served daily, with seasonal locally produced and organic foods sourced from neighboring farms. Water and soft drinks are provided. Busatti linens and robes, personal care items are provided. There is a hot tub, pre-programmed GPS, on-site parking, and wifi throughout.

Around

The house is ideally situated close to Siena, Perugia and nearby Pienza, so you'll want a car to explore and experience the region. Neighboring Val d'Orcia is a UNESCO World Heritage site as is the remarkable hilltop village of Montepulciano.
