We are Graydon Herriott, photographers who work as a creative team. We shoot varied subjects—still life, travel, food, interiors, and lifestyle. And we love to travel! So, when Boutique asked us if we’d like to go to France with them, we jumped at the opportunity.
We flew into the beautiful city of Marseille and, after a couple days there to acclimatize, we rented a car and drove out of town for a peaceful (and delicious!) few days in the French countryside at Mas le Clos Souris in Fons-sur-Lussan. It was early spring, perhaps the most glorious season of them all.
We ate first-of-the-season asparagus and strawberries and enjoyed a perfect bouquet of peonies from the market. We went on meandering drives through the countryside, took beautiful hikes and stopped in quaint villages and towns along the way. We relaxed in parks, pulled over for wildflowers and cooked simple meals in the beautiful kitchen at the farmhouse where we stayed.
It was fun and certainly a little getaway worth repeating.

A short drive from the property is a small commune called Lussan. It was a quiet day there when we visited, but a beautiful stop along the way.

A short drive from the property is the lovely town of Uzès where we visited a large and beautiful outdoor market. The town is also home to many cute shops, bakeries and cafes.

On one of our days, we visited the town of Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie for their famed pottery and Castellas de Bouquet for an expansive view of the entire region.
