Anyone wanting to hang out in downtown San Diego (which we highly recommend) will love this small apartment in Little Italy. It's perfectly located for exploring the local restaurants, wandering down to the seafront, or exploring the Gaslamp District. Plus it's a really cool space, with an expansive terrace overlooking the city. A great vacation home rental in San Diego for couples and friends.
This fun, modern apartment is uniquely situated above the streets of downtown San Diego - a penthouse on the fifth floor of an architect-designed building. Its location in the Little Italy neighborhood makes it perfect for guests wanting to make the most of the city's nightlife. However, staying at home in this light, bright and airy loft-style space is also very appealing. And not just because of the array of whisky bottles in the living room.
The apartment has one bedroom tucked behind a partition wall, as well as a couch in the spacious living area. There's a kitchen with mini bar and vintage glassware, and a patio overlooking the city, which is perfect to drink cocktails on and watch the sun go down.
One thing to note - there is no elevator. Instead, the apartment is reached via a five-story flight of outdoor stairs, making it a great destination for guests wanting a daily workout but unsuitable for those unable to use stairs, and the apartment is not recommended as a rental for small children.
This is a really cool vacation home rental in San Diego for a couple or friends wanting to get to know the city and watch the world go by.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
In addition to free wifi, this apartment offers a free welcome beer, wine on tap, free locally roasted coffee and a fully stocked mini bar. Should you decide to leave the apartment, there's also free bike use, and the owners can hook you up with reservations at any CH-Projects restaurant (because they co-own them). There are also laundry facilities on the premises.
There is no air conditioning, but evenings almost always cool off and there's a portable fan. Bear in mind, this property is in the heart of the city so there will be some street noise, but ear plugs can be provided for light sleepers.
