Named for its charming streets of water like its famous Italian sister city, Venice Beach is surprisingly walkable, with streets showing trim, well-tended residences, cute parks and gardens, and leafy sidewalks along the canals. Loads of cafes, shops and restaurants line the avenues surrounding the home, and bike paths head up and down the coast, where there are abundant opportunities to surf, swim, paddleboard and boat.
