The highest dune on the coast, Hoge Blekker, is worth scaling for the view from the top, and a greenbelt surrounds the town and includes a variety of ecosystems for gentle exploring, from a swamp forest to a dune massif.
Cycling is a popular way to get around the dikes and polders, and there are beach and surf clubs offering watersports instruction up and down the oceanfront. Restaurants, cafes, and beach taverns with Belgian brews are all also available nearby for nightlife.
