One of several surviving buildings designed by pioneering Portuguese architects Arménio Losa & Cassiano Barbosa, this vacation home rental in Porto is a well-preserved example of the modernist movement that took root in the city in the 1930s.
An influential figure in urban planning, Losa began working with architect Barbosa in a decades-long partnership that lasted until the 1960s, with the pair designing some of the most significant works in Porto and neighboring areas, leaving a vast legacy in modernism.
Located just north of the downtown area, this penthouse apartment is perched three stories up (with no elevator) and is an expansive, light filled space with interiors that have been harmoniously redesigned by the owners.

It's a short walk to the famous Santa Catarina street for shopping, traditional Fado music and the acclaimed Cafe Majestic along with Batalha Square where most of the city's important cultural events and shows take place.
Be sure to visit the old town of Ribeira which overlooks the Doura River and valley. And while in the city that created Port wine, enjoy the many cellars wine tours offered.
Connecting to all metro lines, the A São Bento station isthe best stop for all the famous nearby sites including Praça da Batalha, Sé Catedral, Cinema da Batalha, National Theatre, Mercado do Bolhão, Torre dos Clérigos and Praça dos Aliados.
