This duo of homes to let in Greece make off-grid living a luxurious and exhilarating experience, with breathtaking views from one of the island's best locations. Sustainable down to the tiniest of detail, they're built with the highest of environmental standards as well as carefree holiday style.
Set high above the Aegean just outside of the tiny chora on Folegandros, this duo of houses inhabits one of the most beautiful locations on the island. Facing south-west with stunning views of Milos and the sea, you'll be placed within a private setting of rugged natural beauty and no immediate neighbors.
Designed by an Italian developer of environmental design, the compound was built according to the latest technologies in sustainable architecture and green housing standards and is completely off-grid. Equipped with modern photovoltaic and wind turbine generated power and solar installations, combined with fireboxes for the production of hot water and heat, the property is completely self contained. Constructed of local quarried stone, limestone and wood, the materials blend with the landscape in the classic whitewashed Aegean style.
Simple and uncluttered, the interiors are finished in antique granite, polished travertine, Indonesian marble and wood with all furnishings in line with regulations protecting consumer health.
The terraces and common areas include dining areas for up to ten with shaded lounge areas for catching the amazing sunsets. This home to let in Greece is both stylish and environmentally responsible!

AROUND
Reachable only by ferry from neighboring Santorini, Folegandros on the southern edge of the Cyclades, is largely free of the tourists hordes and resorts with the entry point through the little harbour town of Karavostasis, on the east coast. Its rugged windswept beauty and remote location make for a great alternative to the more boisterous and populated islands in the chain. The main medieval town of Hora commands an extraordinary spot along the cliffs with its castle fortress dating to the 13th century.
Closed to all motorized traffic, it's an authentic slice of life with great cafes and tightly knit tree lined squares. The rural village of Ana Meria is the only other settlement on the island and there are several quiet beaches most of which require a bit of a hike making them well worth it. Ambeli Beach is within walking distance of the house with Agios Georgios an hour's hike outside of Ano Meria. Vathi Bay, Angali and Agios Nikolaos are below the clifftops of Hora's northern road with breathtaking views on your way down.
