Inspired by age-old building techniques and traditional Chilean design, the beautifully handcrafted adobe construction, raw natural materials and warm neutral tones give this high-desert home a rustic modern feel.
Set in the rugged desert landscape of northern Chile just outside of San Pedro, this newly constructed home borrows from native construction techniques and pairs it with subtle contemporary style. Situated on over an acre and protected from the winds of the nearby Moon Valley by chañares, algarrobos and pimiento trees, the house was built where the land begins to narrow and from where you'll be ideally placed for panoramic views of the Cordillera de la Sal.
The property is composed of two independent structures, one made of adobe containing two double bedrooms that can accommodate up to four, the sitting room and a terrace. The stone house contains a fully equipped kitchen and beautiful stone bathroom. Furnished with simple rustic modern pieces that complement the all natural materials and spare design, the interiors are warm and casual. From the terrace, you'll have stunning views of the Licancabur Volcano and the altiplanic mountains and the nearby water tower is the perfect spot for desert star gazing.
