This ancient town and cottage are a lasting legacy of antiquity. We like that the restoration kept it raw, natural and unmistakably Greek. You're literally tucked into the mountain high above the sea and lost in time!
Immersed in history and situated in the beautifully sun bleached town of Serifos, this simple two-story cottage has perfected and updated a small space that takes advantage of every available area beautifully and imaginatively. The original masonry has been whitewashed and refreshed with gleaming wood floors and accents and simple provincial furnishings. This cottage was literally carved directly into the mountain with the exposed stone and structure still intact and beautifully preserved.
With one sleeping area comprised of a sleeper sofa in the main section of the house and a larger double "loft" bed elevated high above and reached by the wooden staircase, there's room for three. The kitchen is equipped for all your meals and provides a cosy dining area for four. Carefully restored without sacrificing its history and original craftsmanship, the cottage also features a large terrace and balcony areas with amazing views of the mountain and town below.
Serifos Hora offers an authentic Greek island experience and a cosy hideaway in a beautiful and charming town in a high and rocky peak above the Aegean.

The cottage is located in the narrow whitewashed alleys of the cliff-top town, just a minute walk from the picturesque and enchanting Hora Square with its neoclassical townhall, many cafes and taverns for a taste of the local specialties. From late April to early October, the stunning blue beaches are perfect for swimming, diving sunbathing and water sports while the local mountains provide miles of hiking with stunning views. Ancient monuments, monastaries and medieval structures including the famed marble White Tower dot the island and are not to be missed.
