Situated in the heart of the medina in the vibrant coastal town of Essaouira, this vacation home rental in Morocco is just minutes from the beaches and all of the history and beauty of the city.
Restored by Belgian architects and redesigned by the Italian owners, the original characteristics of the riad have been preserved, with the traditional architectural style composed of a vertical wrap around profile that provides spacious and intimate interiors as well as bright open spaces arranged around two exterior terraces.
The property is laid out over two floors with a cozy living room and lounge area that features a fireplace, a large dining area and the beautiful original ceilings and structural features. The interiors are a mix of traditional and contemporary design with earthy concrete finishes, a cool neutral palette and a colorful mix of authentic Moroccan and custom designer furnishings and decor.
On the second floor, the four en suite bedrooms accommodate up to eight guests, each designed with unique style and colorful accents. Situated at the corners of a large terrace, all have access to the outdoor dining space with BBQ.
The large terrace on the top floor offers stunning views of the Medina and is the ideal spot for catching the sunsets.

AROUND
Located within a few hours of Marrakech, Essaouira is southern Morocco’s legendary beach town. Unlike the big city, Essaouira is laid back and timeless with sandy-colored ramparts, whitewashed avenues, French-style piazzas, and a port full of azure blue fishing boats. The medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the beautiful fishing harbor are great places to explore, each with a great selection of restaurants, cafes and shops.
There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby renown for excellent surfing spots. Don't miss a camel ride to the famous crumbling fort Bordj El Berod and the traditional souks as well as the famous music and cultural festivals. The Gnaoua World Music festival, the city's biggest annual event, is held every June and runs for three days – early booking is recommended.

BEST TIME TO VISIT: Spring and Fall with September through December for ideal weather. But the coastal city is pleasant for most of the year with occasional windy and hot conditions.
