Designed by well-known Danish architect Claes Feder in close collaboration with the owners, Casa en Jacuma is a luxurious Brazilian coastal home that combines native charm with European comfort and design. Just off the sands of Porto Mirim beach near the village of Jacuma, the home is arranged around magical views of the turquoise bay and the far horizon.
The semi-open plan living area boasts soaring vaulted wood beamed ceilings of rich Brazilian hard wood including one massive main beam forming a central architectural focal point. Giant sliding doors open out completely to expose the main outdoor living area and spacious dining pavilion that seats 14, perfect for casual al fresco dining and unbeatable views.
The breezy open-air effect extends throughout, with the muted and rustic ceramic tiled floors and stylish, eclectic and thoroughly comfortable furnishings. Created from bamboo, vime and various Brazilian woods, the interiors, furnishings and decor feature the work of various local artists as well as internationally flavored art and decor reflecting the travels and creativity of the owner.
With five beautifully appointed bedroom suites, each is outfitted with handmade Brazilian hardwood beds and fine sprung European comfort mattresses. The two king, one double and four single rooms are ideal for mixed groups or families and all are equipped with beautiful updated en-suite baths. A sleek and thoroughly modern gourmet kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances is capable of whipping up meals for large gatherings and comes fully equipped.
The infinity swimming pool and outdoor terrace are surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and offer great spots to sunbathe, lounge and enjoy privacy along with spectacular views.

Along the cusp of the Porto Mirim Bay with gorgeous views of nearby Jacuma town, the house is ideally situated in the north eastern province of Natal and just over a half hour from town. Part Dutch and Portuguese colonial settlement and part native Brazilian, this municipality has great history and stunning natural beauty. The beautiful, pristine shoreline is dotted with sheltered lagoons and sand dunes along with coral reefs that are great for diving and snorkeling.
