Placed on a sunny sloping meadow with views of the Kyll Valley and forests, this vacation home rental in Germany is a modern out-of-the-way getaway just outside of the tiny Rhineland hamlet of Schutz. Completed in 2019, the modern chalet style theme complements the countryside with its simple wooden silhouette and unadorned approach.  

The spaces are arranged around the central living space that forms the heart of the house in a one room concept. Bright and open, the interiors are a duo of white and wood with patterned flagstone with a clean and simple lack of ornamentation. 

The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area are adjacent to the fireside living space and open out to a viewing balcony. 

The all-in-one concept leads into the the double bedroom that also opens out to  the terrace.

Simple but stylish contemporary furnishings, and a spare hand with decor make for a soothing uncomplicated environment with all of the convenience and comforts of home at hand.

The tiny village of Schultz is located in some of the most picturesque regions of Rhineland but is sparsely populated and without much in the way of shopping or restaurants but the nearby towns of Manderscheid, Deudesfeld, Pützborn and Daun all have markets, shops, restaurants and amenities and are under 10km from the house.

Don't miss the wild rock formations and the nearby Roman settlement before venturing out for some of the area's best hiking and biking, especially the cycling path from Daun to Meerfeld, Schutz to Deudesfeld, Schutz to Bleckhausen, Manderscheid to Großlittgen, Großlittgen to Monastery Himmeroth.

Surrounded by the landmark volcanoes, marshes and the deep valleys of Lieser and Kyll, the area is one of West Germany's most varied natural landscapes. You are just over an hour from Cologne, ninety minutes from Dusseldorf and an hour west of the ancient city of Koblenz.
