A bright blue sign on the iconic ribbon of road known as the Pacific Coast Highway reads: “Entering Malibu: 27 miles of scenic coastline.” Pass it and you've arrived at the wonderland of internationally-known surfing, hiking and sunsets. Malibu, defined as a way of life almost as often as a coastal California city, is a heart skip of a place.
To take full advantage of its breathtaking scenery, visitors often go big on lodging. So when we found out about a 3,000 square foot vacation rental in Malibu with a giant wraparound deck, we nearly jumped in our imaginary convertible and headed for the private, quiet beach community where this home is tucked away.
Originally built in the 1960s, the sunlight-filled sanctuary lays out a tasteful tableau of coastal hues and modern design, while the kitchen is newly remodeled. Situated in a very private and quiet neighborhood, one of the finest new rental properties in this beach community.
The kind of place where you could get comfortable really quickly, fortunately this home is offered as a short or long-term stay, furnished or unfurnished, and it’s worth mentioning that Malibu schools are highly ranked.
Waking up to these views every day, with miles of trails in the Santa Monica Mountains in your backyard, could be a lovely place to decamp for a while.
This vacation home in Malibu has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 10 people. Sprawling across 3,000 sq ft, there is also a 1,000 sq ft bonus space. Each room has access to the extra-large wrap-around deck, with spectacular views of the ocean (cocktail in hand, at sunset, is a particular joy to be had.)
