Seeking respite and recharge, she returned to the area recently, and renovated a 1970s A-frame overlooking the lake. The result is a stylish, cozy haven — a testament to cabin living of the past, with big timbers, campy waterfront views, and multiple fireplaces, but 100% modern, equipped with 21st-century creature comforts like spa amenities, a Tesla charging station, and an in-home movie theatre for supreme relaxation.

The home’s massive peaked windows give the place its distinctive chalet feel, and there are breathtaking views of the water and mountains from every picture window on the home’s four levels. The house offers something for everyone to enjoy, whether your preferred jam is indoors or out. While the surrounding lakeshores offer a mecca for recreation — fish, boat, ski, skate, hike — we love the attention that’s been put into resting and relaxing indoors.
Families and friend groups will love gathering in the fully-equipped chef’s kitchen or around the wet bar, shooting pool and playing Pac Man, or grabbing a big screen movie experience with surround sound in the home theatre. A twisting 23-mile road up from San Bernardino into the mountains lands you at Lake Arrowhead, marked by a deep blue reservoir in an area lovingly referred to as “the Alps of Southern California.” Outdoor enthusiasts have escaped to the area for years to backpack and camp, enjoy snow sports, and fish, boat, skate and/or hike. Historically a favorite haunt of Hollywood stars and a favorite set of the studios, Lake Arrowhead village is a charming resort town, with shops, dining, lodges, and plenty of forested trails surrounding it.
