Domaine dar Syada stands as an architectural extravaganza. The multi-structure property includes a traditional Moroccan Kasbah constructed from ancient ruins, a geometric villa with European-inspired stained-glass windows, and a modern bohemian outfitted Pavillion, A complementary décor palette across the buildings balances the historical charms of the Moroccan medina with more modern designer styling, presenting a cohesive look and feel that ties all the structures of the vast domain together.
The Domaine is rented as single unit with a minimum of 12 rooms. The Kasbah has nine rooms, the Villa three, and the Pavillon four. Guests are able to choose their desired 12-room layout, but can also rent 17 or 21 rooms, including rooms in the Berber tent village at additional cost.
The Kasbah structure with its traditional citadel was built as an identical replica of a period Kasbah with its earthen walls, tadelakt plaster and traditional wood and wrought-iron flourishes. It’s the property’s most spacious structure, sleeping eight in four double suites, and an additional four in two single bedrooms with two beds each. The Kasbah’s citadel houses two additional bedroom suites at the heart of the tower, and downstairs, there’s a kitchen, living room and bar, and a lounge/TV room, in addition to a comfortable covered patio.
The independent villa that occupies the Domaine’s center is a traditional European residence. Considered the highlight of the estate, it’s clean-lined and contemporary, with three bedrooms and en-suite baths, plus a fully-equipped kitchen and bar. Patios and terraces around the villa open onto a traditional courtyard with a pool, and interior furnishings fit the contemporary styling and include modern and colorful artworks and crafts from around the world.
More intimate than the other main structures, the Pavillon offers four double bedrooms with private baths, and kitchen, living area/ V room with a fireplace. Al-fresco living comes easily here, where a shaded outdoor patio features a dining area and private pool.
The property’s opulent, oasis-like grounds include rose gardens and orange groves, orchards and bamboo stands, plus multiple luxuriously appointed terraces overlooking a lush common lawn, with panoramic views of the Atlas range. The former imperial city of Marrakesh is perhaps best known for its dizzying medieval fortified city center. Street performers are a typical attraction in the medina, and restaurants, cafes, and teahouses are abundant. Minarets, mosques, and palm trees shimmer above the maze-like medina, and Marrakesh is also known for its gardens, such as the late fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent’s Jardin Majorelle. Also regarded as the gateway to the Atlas Mountains, where hiking, mountain biking, camel expeditions, rock climbing and many other outdoor activities are popular, Marrakesh is home to tourism and recreational guide services.
