Oozing with Local Charm
A 19th-century Italian farm complex in the Itrian Valley that includes four enchanting trulli homes, this stunning estate has been lovingly restored. Today it hosts up to 15 guests across six bedrooms, making it an ideal location for groups of friends and sunny, sophisticated family reunions.
Beautifully restored and set in a leafy, organic garden, the iconic trulli anchor the estate, joining a bright villa, all magically located at the halfway mark between the shimmering Adriatic and Ionian seas.
The historic Masseria is made up of four historic trullo homes, the area’s fairytale conical residences that once served as rural shelters, plus a villa that’s benefited from a contemporary design update. Surprisingly spacious, clean lined, with all the modern comforts, all sleep spaces benefit from private patios and a beautiful expanse of colorful flowers, leafy fig trees and silvery green olive plantations right outside their doors. The home offers a lounge chair-lined pool and a jacuzzi for four.
Five of the property's six bedrooms are double, some equipped with sofa beds or single beds as added sleeping spots. One bedroom is single. There are five bathrooms, a common kitchen and dining area able to fit 18, and two additional, smaller kitchens and three kitchenettes, plus an outdoor cooking set up. An additional two guests could sleep on a sofa bed. Multiple outdoor lounge areas come both shaded and sunny, and old stones and elegant arching architectural accents fully respect the architectural philosophy of the ancient property, created for easy living in a timeless atmosphere.
There are a variety of activities available at and around the Borgo, including cooking courses, a private, in-home chef, an on-site wellness room in an old, restored barn, and sporting opportunities, including bike and scooter rental, horseback riding, sail and motor boat tours, and bespoke tours of the countryside by vintage Vespa or Fiat.
Read a short history of the trullo in our Stories section here.
