Architect Pascal Saurel Sends Guests Out To Sea
We like how the architectural characteristics of this seaside home mimic a ship's bow, extending the living areas and sightline into the sea. The porthole windows, balustrades railings and decorative features lend it a chic and modern maritime flair.
Designed and built by architect Pascal Saurel, this modern beach villa in Brittany's design is intended to immerse you into the coastal environment, showcasing the dramatic scenery with unobstructed panoramic views. Constructed of glass, steel, and wood, the home's contemporary style, and unusual shapes are in complete harmony with the seaside setting.
The top floor offers a large sun-drenched living and reception area with an open dining room and an ultra-modern gourmet kitchen that opens out to private lounge terraces with stunning dropdown views.
The main floor features a multimedia family room along with a library and office space adjacent to the en-suite master bedroom and dressing room.
The lower level includes four bedrooms each with its own panoramic sea views and access to the private sundeck overlooking the gardens. Designed in a bright monochromatic theme, the furnishings and decor create a soothing, breezy vibe awash in natural light.
Landscaped by naturalist garden designer Erwan Ty Men, the gardens mimic the native environment and lead down a private coastal path to several secluded sandy beaches to call your own.
THE GRANITE ROSE COAST
Many of the Granite Rose Coast's best beaches are within walking distance including Pors Mabo and Penvern and a little further east through the Goas Lagorn nature reserve are the wild windswept beaches of Beg-Léguer.
Heading west along the coastal path is the panoramic lookout point of Pointe de Bihit with Trebeurden’s main beach Tresmeur. Day trips to the nearby islands of Millau, Molène and Archipel des Sept are within a short boat ride away and the Côtre Saint C’hireg boat tour will take you through the best possible views of the bird sanctuaries.
Nature walks through Presqu’Île de Bihit Le Castel Bois de Lann ar Waremm Traouïero Valley are highly recommended and you can soak up the local history in the nearby towns of Ploumanac’h, Trégastel, La Clarté, Perros-Guirrec, Tréguier, Paimpol.
