A Grecian Island Wellness Retreat
A trio of villas dramatically combined to create an eight-bedroom estate right on the Ionian Sea, this holistic island property with its private, on-site spa puts wellness and relaxation center stage. The retreat offers direct beach access, beautifully maintained, organic gardens, three swimming pools, and a dedicated spa offering bespoke beauty, wellness, and rejuvenation treatments by an expert team.
Zakynthos Private Beach and Spa Estate
With its on-site spa offering custom treatments, from facials and soothing massages to targeted hydro- and aerotherapies, plus a pathway straight to private sands along the Ionian seafront, this multi-unit, eight-bedroom estate is all about pampering and unwinding.
The property’s sanctuary-styled spaces are minimalist and serene—vivid contemporary rooms that are open-plan and breezy, offering direct access to swimming pools and panoramic views across the Ionian. Gorgeous Mediterranean garden paths wind through the property, alive with swaying ornamental grasses, fragrant Mediterranean herbs, and flowering shrubs. The meandering paths drop down to the sea, where clear waters merge with powdery sands, perfect for sunbathing, soaking, and even stargazing after evening beach bonfires.
The interiors of the three homes are cool and sleekly contemporary. Think white marble floors and plush sofas, dining rooms flanked by oversized picture windows, poolside fire pits and easy verandas for rest and relaxation. There is 24/7 concierge service as well as daily housekeeping, and the estate’s vegetable, herb and fruit gardens are open for picking.
Experiences
The spa hidden within the estate’s gardens has been created as a refuge where holistic treatments restore balance to body, mind, and soul. The space is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and equipped with an UNBESCHEIDEN tub for stress release, nerve calming, improved circulation, and lymphatic soothing and hydration. Various massage types are offered, including deep tissue, reflexology, cupping, and lymphatic/anti-cellulite treatments.
By-reservation experiences include private culinary services and tours, exclusive boat excursions on yacht or sailboat, and guided tours around the island via helicopter, private jet, chauffeur or vehicle rentals.
Around
Zakynthos island offers a rich tapestry of history, culture and natural beauty, and the island has been influenced by Byzantines, Venetians, French and English through the ages. Scenic stone villages are tucked into dark pine forests inland, and the island’s coastline is rimmed by vibrant blue sea. The island is famed for its illuminated Blue Caves, accessible only by sea on the island’s western coastline. The ancient geological rock formations reveal an interplay of light and shadow, their reflective qualities shining against white rock faces, with Cyan Cave the largest of the caverns.
Zakynthos Town is the island’s largest community, a lively port and pier city with pebble beaches, shopping, and nightlife. A castle ruin rises over the city and the seafront promenade extends along the harbor between the Monastery of Strofades and the church of Agios Nikolaos of Molos. Solomos Square offers dozens of culinary options and exclusive shopping, and the town’s Renaissance architecture is best seen on Agios Markos Square. A scenic 20-minute walk from San Marco Square leads to the village of Bohaili, a village where picturesque paths lead through aristocratic enclaves and stands of pine, punctuated by a Venetian Castle dating from 1646.
The biggest beach draw on the island is Shipwreck Cove, accessible by boat or from a lookout atop its cliffs, some 200 meters above the deep blue cove. Secluded and mesmerizing, the cove is so named for a freighter stranded in its waters in 1980, its relic now nestled in the white sands. Turtle Island at Marathonisi and its surrounding islets is situated just beyond Zakynthos’ coastline, within the National Marine Park. It is a sanctuary for endangered loggerhead turtles.
