High above the Walls of Calvi
We love this old town location that puts you right in the middle of the most picturesque and historic part of Calvi. With views over the sea and the streets below, this charming studio is tucked away in a romantic spot made for two.
Perched above the narrow alleyways along the citadel walls in central Calvi, this studio apartment is tucked away high above the town with beautiful sea and island views. Although little has changed in this area of town for hundreds of years, this penthouse apartment has undergone a thorough renovation with comfy modern amenities and style.
Accessed by a steep stone stairway, the apartment is in a prime location, and features a large and bright, open-plan living room that shares the space with the sleeping area.
With a fully-equipped kitchen and bath, the space is ideal for two. The living spaces open out to a private terrace that features an ingenious built-in wooden bar where you can enjoy your morning coffee or cocktails with stunning uninterrupted views.
Come experience the history and beauty of Corsica from your own private hideaway. Read an interview with the owner of this home in our Stories section here.

AROUND
The seafront town of Calvi is perfect for walking and exploring with plenty of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance. The famous Citadel towers over the town and is part of the interesting history of fortresses and Roman remains in the area.
Head down to the waterfront at Quai Landry below and a little further for stunning sandy beaches within about fifteen minutes on foot. Calvi is also just ten minutes the picturesque and charming village of Lumio where you can explore Le Clos Colombu the famous “wine cave” which offers a fascinating look at the wine making process and delicious tastings.
To the north you’ll find a wonderful and wild beach of l’Ostriconi and further south, is the “Calanches de Piana” with incredible red rock formations above the sea for exploring.
Located on the northwest coast of the island within the Corsica Regional Park, the UNESCO designated Scandola Nature Reserve on the Cape Girolata Peninsula covers over nine hundred hectares of land and over one thousand acres of marine habitat. A breathtaking stretch of coastline, it can only be reached by boat, or for the very adventurous, on foot through steep mountainous terrain. Populated with a vibrant array of marine life and sea birds, it’s jagged rock formations, caves and crystal clear waters are some of the most beautiful natural wonders on the island.
Be sure to take the drive along “Route des Artisans“, which crosses through several charming Corsican villages like Pigna, Corbara and San Antonino. Venture further to the national parks and outlying beaches for stunning island beauty.
