A Gleaming Ibiza Villa with a Rooftop Pool and Chiringuito Bar

With its dazzling coves and wild bohemian countryside, Ibiza proved irresitible for Canbibi owners Peter and Lynn. But the real reward was to build their own villa from scratch, carved out of their dreams.

Follow the driveway up past an olive tree, palms and succulents, and you’ll reach this luxurious, gleaming home, that sits proudly on a hillside in the island’s Golden Triangle within the residential village, Es Cubells.

A sophisticated refuge awash in neutrals and earthy tones, the owners employed a skillful hand toward art and design, with timeless wooden furniture by Ethnicraft, such as their Teak Tabwa Blok coffee table and trays and tray tables by designer Dawn Sweitzer in the bedrooms. 

Spread across six levels, the villa also extends itself onto terraces and stand-alone platforms, with bayside views. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests, and is a perfect place to immerse yourself in the poolside-with-music vibe that Ibiza is famous for.

Of course, the best part of all is on top. A dazzling panorama awaits with a rooftop pool area and your own chiringuito bar. Enjoy tapas and drinks on several upper-level decks, while you watch the sun fall below the Mediterranean Sea.

The luxury amenities carry over into the fully-equipped outdoor gym, with massage and yoga platforms, all with their own breathtaking views.

Renowned as a world-class party island, there is much to explore beyond the clubs and nightlife of Ibiza. The emerald waters and rugged island terrain offer multiple areas for nature lovers, with sheltered coves, quiet stretches of coastline and lovely inland forests to explore.

Here on the south coast, you are near the town of San Josep, with its handful of good local restaurants (try Destino, a beloved Euro-eastern tapas bar), shops and a stunning church with a baroque pulpit.

Surrounded by lavish countrysides with amazing beaches and chiringuitos within just a short drive, it's also close to Can Mestre supermarket, where coffee and groceries can be procured along with wonderful people watching; it is a place visited by all stripes.

Explore nearby Es Vedra and Atlantis, an island and secret cove steeped in myths and legends. For partiers, dive headlong into the fray and enjoy the fun and nightlife on Cala Jondal at Yemanja Ibiza or Blue Marlin.
