Once a traditional manor, Casa Dima was transformed into a "Rehab Lab" project focused on ecological balance and architectural transparency. StudioArte prioritized natural insulation and sustainable materiality to create a bioclimatic haven. The interior acts as a gallery, where modern silhouettes meet textured walls, reflecting the owners' passion for a hidden luxury that prioritizes light, shadow, and local craftsmanship.

The open-plan living area features high-performance glazing that invites the soft Atlantic light to play across carefully selected furniture and bespoke art. Underfloor heating throughout the bathrooms and high-spec climate control ensure year-round comfort.

Life at Casa Dima takes place on the 80-square-meter rooftop oasis, featuring a professional-grade bar, dining area, and an open-air shower. Below, the walled garden is centered around an eight-meter pool and covered terrace, with a kitchen and grill for alfresco dining.

What we love

We love that the sustainability here isn't a gimmick. Local Portuguese materials like cork (for natural insulation) and "ventilated foundations" keep things cool naturally. The collaboration with Concepto-Studio means the art isn't just hung on the walls. It’s baked into the architecture. A favorite of ours are the sliding doors. When they're open, the living room doesn't just have a view of the garden. It is the garden.

Layout

This vacation home for rent in Lagoa sleeps up to six guests. The main residence houses two bedroom suites, each featuring private bathrooms. The third bedroom is a spacious garden studio with its own seating area and en-suite facilities.
