The house consists of two different residential units, adjacent to each other, with a shared pool, terrace and outdoor kitchen. The units can be booked independently or jointly, except for July 23 to August 27 when they must be booked together.

Set above the Mediterranean on Favignana's southeast tip, this gorgeous newly-built vacation home rental in Sicily is a uniquely designed family residence. The large four-acre gated property is set within an impressive garden compound of olive and almond groves in one of the most untamed and pristine areas of the island. 

Designed in a contemporary isolano style and constructed with local materials such as sandstone from the tophus quarries along the island's coastline, the architect's work is a modern homage to the island's natural beauty and rural past. 

The horizontal silhouette is laid out into two separate living quarters divided by a large, covered courtyard designed for al fresco dining while enjoying the views out to sea. One side of the house includes a fully-equipped kitchen and living room and one en-suite double bedroom that can accommodate two guests. 

The other includes an additional kitchen and living area, along with both a double en-suite bedroom and a twin room perfect for kids with a shared bathroom. The layout allows for two groups or families to share the property, with some privacy. 

The fresh, whitewashed interiors and polished concrete floors, along with the colorful contemporary furnishings and original artwork, are stylish and modern, with all the luxurious mod cons for entertaining and comfort. 

The large shared outdoor terrace spans the full length of the house, with shady lounge areas for lazy afternoons as well as two roof terraces, each with spectacular views of the property and the sea. On the east side is a sunken garden terrace and a small pool, with a second sunken terrace on the west side with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ and covered dining areas. 

Surrounded by wild native gardens, the house reflects the island's beauty back on itself in a luxuriously private hideaway.

Favignana island is the largest in the Egadi chain and has a lively harbor town along with stunning natural beauty. Dotted with sandy beaches and picturesque grottos, the rugged terrain is ideal for hiking and exploring with lots of flat areas for biking. Cala Azurra and Lido Burrone are the two main beaches for bathing while Punta Ferro and Cala Grande offer great diving and snorkeling. Slow paced and picturesque, the island has remained a sleepy destination with a laid-back lifestyle.
