Bordering the Bosque de Chapultepec
A quick walk from Chapultepec Park with its modern art museum and zoo, this lush patio home is a standout space of vivid whites and contrasting greys to blacks surrounded by an abundance of vegetation. Sleekly modern and minimalist, the sophisticated apartment makes a great base for exploring one of the city’s finest enclaves.
Bold contrasts mark this contemporary residence as the private home of a graphic designer. Clean lines and mid-century modern accents fill the two bedroom, Colonia Cuauhtémoc apartment, its sleek, comfortable spaces gleaming brightly with a gallery-like quality offset by an abundance of greenery visible out every window. A decked patio off the living room offers a lush hangout, hung with a hammock and set with outdoor lounge furniture for easy indoor/outdoor living at the heart of the city.
Around
An affluent enclave in Mexico City, Colonia Cuauhtémoc is a walkable neighborhood known for its well-heeled residents and high-end homes. Centrally located, the neighborhood borders the Bosque de Chapultepec and is walking distance from other sought-after areas such as Roma Norte, Polanco and Condesa. Especially leafy given its park location, the neighborhood is known for its shopping, fine dining tables, and libraries and museums. Bosque Chapultepec is home to the Anthropology, Modern Art and Rufino Tamayo Museums, and the Zoologico de Chapultepec is only steps away. Reforma Avenue crosses the quarter, and a 5-minute walk leads to metro, bus stations and bike stands for accessing the city center’s main attractions about a mile away.
A 24-hour grocery, bookshops, cinemas, and great local coffee shops are around the corner from the apartment. The Bosque is one of Mexico’s largest public parks and is Latin America’s biggest urban park, covering nearly 700 hectares centered on a rock formation, Chapultepec Hill. One of the oldest protected urban forests in Latin America, it features a pre-Hispanic Aztec aqueduct and a massive water tank, the Cárcamo de Dolores, with a mural and fountain designed by Diego Rivera. An ecological oasis as well as a cultural and recreational site in the city, the Bosque also features a Site Museum opened in 2019 that offers visitors to the park an overview of its important history, architecture and role in supplying water to residents for decades.
