Contemporary Sicilian with Sweeping Sea Views
Designer Gordon Guillaumier brought industrial style into this refined residence, and neutral tones and simple forms were deliberately chosen to amplify the external landscape. This minimalist approach allows the house itself to become a framed viewing point for the Sicilian panorama.
Interiors balance minimalist design with warm, regional accents. A feature wall in the living space is beautifully clad in colorful Sicilian tiles, adding an authentic, regional touch. The main kitchen includes a large chestnut dining table, perfect for family gatherings.
Days revolve around the dramatic 18-meter cobalt-blue pool. The pool area features a shallow, beach-effect platform and a shaded sofa area. Concrete, local stone, and a metal pergola structure the space, allowing light to filter through, casting beautiful patterns of light and shadow. The main veranda and terrace are perfect for dining and enjoying evenings outdoors.
What we love
We love the contrast here between the raw industrial concrete and that vibrant wall of traditional Sicilian tiles. It feels modern but still deeply connected to the region. The interiors are kept simple and neutral, but some hand-picked art pieces create a personal and warm atmosphere. The 18-meter pool is a dream and, with the view, the perfect place to unwind.
