An Alpine Sanctuary with World-Class Slopes at your Doorstep
Swoosh in to this ski in/ski out masterpiece in the snowy caps that are home to North America’s largest ski resort.
Hugging the slopes of Whistler, all 10,000 square feet of this modern marvel are open and airy with muscular architectural lines, softening into the comforts of alpine style at every glance. Furs are draped casually onto the modern furniture while fireplaces give warmth throughout. With seven bedrooms and ample play space, plus a chef’s kitchen and office space, this is a home that appeals to kids and adults of all ages and adventure levels.
Start the day on the slopes with your private gondola access, then return to soothe your body in the outdoor heated pool with hot tub. Fix yourself a peaty elixir from the dedicated whisky room or an earthy red from the wine bar. We can’t get over the valley views from here, especially when carpeted with snow.
Located in the private and exclusive Kadenwood neighborhood, this home lets you truly live the high life in alpine paradise.
This vacation rental in Whistler is 10,000 square feet with seven bedrooms. On the first floor is the grand living room, with a gas fireplace, TV and DVD player. In the dining room, there is seating for sixteen at a custom marble table. There is also a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen with microwave.
One floor below is a study and play area. Through this room, you enter a child’s dream; three oversized queen-over-queen bunk beds, TV, bean bag chairs and ample room for playing and connecting with friends.
One more floor down houses four of the bedrooms. Two are master bedrooms and one has its own private office. All rooms look out onto the jaw-dropping mountains with deck access and en suite bathrooms.
Four levels from the top is a floor with its own full-size private gym, an oversized hammam steam room, billiard’s table, ping pong, and a full bar. You will find three more bedrooms here, with a contemporary design and a cozy feel. All of the bedrooms have bathrobes, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. There is also a separate Massage Room with a Daybed for extra sleeping capacity if needed.
This home has air conditioning and heating, an alarm system, WiFi, and an iPod dock and stereo. Creature comforts included heated floors, a washer and dryer, and a mudroom. There is also ski storage, a boot dryer, and bike storage. Outside, there is a barbecue and fire pit. The home offers garage parking, and is open to private events.
SLOPES OF MANY ACCLAIMS AND OLD-GROWTH FORESTS
Long known for its pristine powder and legendary resorts on both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, this Canadian mountain town and its renowned landscapes are straight out of a Slim Aarons photo. And with 8,000 acres of skiable land (the largest on the continent), it’s no wonder Whistler Blackcomb was chosen as the home of the 2010 Olympic Games.
Walkable, charming and friendly, the village of Whistler (located at the base of the two mountains) is chalet-style and is lined with restaurants, bars and shops. There is a great “Made in Whistler” scene, with items like hand-glazed pottery and wooden art pieces.
The area is increasingly growing its arts and culture scene, and Audain Art Museum is one recent development. Modern and striking, the 56,000 square foot museum is home to a private collection of old First Nation masks, works of post-war Canadian artists and internationally-recognized contemporary artists.
Whistler’s lower elevations showcase a coastal climate. There are spectacular glacier-fed lakes and old-growth rainforests where you can hike among giants on the endless mossy carpet.
Vancouver lies two hours to the south.
