Historic Mountain Retreat with Big Views of Corfu
Blending ancient charms with the modern amenities of its recent update, this Corfu island retreat sets you high on a wild mountain slope with panoramic views of the sea. It offers seclusion and country scenery, yet it's a quick, 10-minute drive to the Achilleion Palace, galleries and museums, and to the island’s famed sand beaches. There’s a garden, outdoor living terrace, pool with a view, outdoor shower, and walking trails into the countryside right out the door.
Layout
The home consists of two separate buildings.
The North Wing is a two-story structure with three upstairs bedrooms (one king, two doubles), en-suite bathrooms, and a sofa bed in a bedroom that can be made up for children. It is available on its own for six guests, but can be rented with the South Wing for up to 10 guests.
The South Wing is a single-story structure, with two bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, sleeping four guests. It is available to add to your booking at an additional cost. Please inquire for more information.
If the North Wing is rented alone, the South Wing will be closed. Please note that rates quoted are for the North Wing (six guests) only.
The property’s kitchen is fully equipped, and an outdoor gas grill makes alfresco meals a cinch. The elegantly landscaped garden includes a pool.

Around
This home offers easy access to Corfu’s capital, with its Ionio University, many museums (Ceramic Art, Serbian, Archeological, Asian Art, Byzantine, Dionysios Solomos) and the Municipal Gallery, New Fortress and Mon Repos and Achilleion Palaces. With walking trails into the mountains right out the door, the elegant escape also strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility, and having a vehicle for expanded tourism is highly recommended.
Recommended beaches include: Issos Beach, a paradise for nature lovers and kite surfers that's frequently named among Corfu’s best for its expansive sand dunes, cedar forest backdrop, and access to Korission Lagoon. Halikounas Beach a wild, unspoiled sand that stretches alongside the lagoon, perfect for long walks, windsurfing, and sunset watching in complete tranquility. And Vitalades (Gardenos Beach), a peaceful, sandy beach in the island’s southwest with a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. Known for its reddish-gold sands and calm waters, it’s less crowded and ideal for those looking to escape the busier tourist areas.
The center of Corfu offers cobbled streets, storied mansions, historical passages and all necessary services, from shops to pharmacies to dining. Vido Islet is located opposite the city’s old port, accessible by sea. A day-sailor’s paradise, the small isle is a beautiful spot to drop anchor. The heart of the beautifully preserved Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, a lovely blend of Renaissance, Baroque and classical architecture, with twin, 15th-century Venetian fortresses flanking either side, the grand palaces of Achillion and Mon Repos.
