The flagship property is one in a unique collection of listed and historic homes renovated and redesigned by the owners, an architect and interior designer husband and wife team. Avid preservationists, together they have restored several historic properties in and around the Highlands, returning them to their former glory.

Shortlisted for the 2019 Renovation of Year for the Scottish Homes Award, the duo has translated the home's history with an eye for detail that respects its heritage. Dun Aluinn has been receiving a lot of well-deserved press recently in design and architectural magazines including Elle Decoration in the UK, Residence NL in the Netherlands, Image Interiors in Ireland, Living Corrire in Italy, Cote Quest in France, and Nyarum in Sweden.

Designed with warmth and sophistication, the home blends traditional 19th century refinement with contemporary, vintage and Scandinavian style for a 21st-century Highlands experience.

Built in 1909, this lovely luxury villa in Scotland is a stately Queen Anne style beauty, originally designed by Scottish architects Sydney Mitchell and Wilson. Following a long and painstaking restoration, the home was updated with skillfully integrated contemporary features that bring it up to date.

The dramatic entrance hall leads to the ground floor living areas and drawing room with an intimate but roomy fireside lounge forming the social heart of the house. The kitchen is a master chef’s dream, designed in walnut and brass with professional grade appliances ideal for entertaining. The adjacent dining area features a magnificent oak and bronze table with seating for up to 20.

One of nine ensuite bedrooms is on the ground floor and the remaining eight are on the first and second floors with room for 18 guests. The dining room opens out to the large terrace through patio doors. From here, there are views overlooking Aberfeldy and over the valley to Schiehallion.

The beautiful Scottish Highlands just outside of the town of Aberfeldy are surrounded by over 250,000 acres of spectacular forests, rivers, vast expanses of moors and Loch Tay. The crew at the villa can take you on a private boat tour of the loch to explore the local history, heritage and folklore of the region or on fishing expeditions. The owners have also teamed up with the Dewars visitor center to offer whisky tastings at Dun Aluinn or at the nearby distillery.

Once Scotland's ancient capital, the nearby city of Perth is a thriving modern hub situated along the banks of the River Tay and is also home to historic houses, castles, parks and gardens as well as several good museums.

Dundee, a UNESCO City of Design, is just over an hour by car, through the stunning and scenic countryside of Angus where you can explore the V&A Dundee Museum, McManus Art Gallery & Museum, and the historic ships like RRS Discovery.
