A Dreamy Balearic Dwelling That Prioritizes Sustainability
Eco Finca Sa Becadeta is the dream of a family with many years of experience working in tourism, who wished to create sustainable havens for responsible enjoyment.
We love the minimalist design of this Mediterranean studio-style structure, with its open, clean layout, walk-in shower, natural materials and everything within arm’s reach.
The living area is a compact, all-in-one unit with a stovepipe fireplace, bed, kitchen, and dining area that faces your own private pool. It’s perfect for a traveling couple.
Come pick seasonal vegetables from the ecological garden, relax by the pool with a book, or curl up in front of the fire and ask your travel mate the New York Times’ “36 Questions That Lead to Love” and unearth stories you’ve never heard. And leave a little lighter knowing that the property collects rainwater, harnesses sunlight and has a composting program.
If you happen to be traveling with more than two, there is also the possibility of renting Eco Finca Sa Font Blava and combining the two units.
Sa Becadeta is a place for ease of life, siestas, and mojitos with fresh mint that you foraged from right outside your door. GO COVE-HOPPING IN THE COASTAL BREEZE
Located at the foothills of Mount Randa, on the outskirts of the family-friendly inland town of Llucmajor, the vibe around Sa Becadeta is of authentic Mallorcan life and little tourism. Visit the markets and pick up some local almonds and apricots, drive around the plains dotted with estates and farmhouses, and simply ease into the way life happily hums here.
You are 10km from stunning beaches (the owner highly recommends Playa d 'Estrenc, Sa Ràpita s 'Estanyol or Cala Deià or S 'Arenal), and in fifteen minutes, you can be in the capital of Palma. Palma is the largest city in the Balearic Islands of Spain, and is known for its Santa Maria cathedral, and two historic fortresses. LOCATION
Mallorca, Spain. Nearest airport: Palma de Mallorca (10km away)
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Summer is high season, but March to May is lovely with fewer tourists and temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
