In the Valley of Trulli with a View to the Sea
Starting with a simple dream of sharing a house under the sun, a Belgian couple searched through several countries to find the perfect location with a sea view. After wandering neighboring countries throughout Europe, together they both fell in love with Puglia and a slightly faded trulli in need of restoration and a little love.
Dating back to the 16th century, the charming, almost Middle Earth style dwellings used for centuries in agricultural areas of southern Italy, are unique to the area. A faithful example of the traditional folk architecture found only around the Valle d'Itria, the handcrafted restorations were completed by local craftsmen to preserve the historic character with authenticity and grace, and a stylish mix of vintage, Scandinavian and Italian design.
With sweeping views of the valleys and mountains dotted with other historic trulli, and distant views to the coast, this is (trulli!) an enchanting vacation home rental under the sun.
Situated on a hill with sweeping 180-degree views of the countryside and out to sea, the home offers an authentic cultural experience that transports you back in time.
The charming conical structures were restored by local craftsmen using age-old masonry techniques, preserving the integrity and authenticity of the architecture - its graceful shapes, rugged stone and historic characteristics preserved, in a luxurious but respectful update.
Simple but refined, the whitewashed walls and stone floors are complemented by a stylish and pared down mix of contemporary and vintage pieces keeping the rustic, casual feel. The main house consists of two en-suite bedrooms, and a third room with bunk beds designed for children. The guest Lamia has one en-suite bedroom with room for two.
Surrounded by olive trees and stone walls, the extensive terraces, infinity pool and outdoor dining areas tie the complex together. Artisanal and handcrafted, these formerly primitive huts have not lost any of their native charm.

PUGLIA'S VALLE D'ITRIA
A truly unique cultural experience, this area of Italy offers amazing food, wine, and miles of beautiful Adriatic coastline. Located just thirty minutes from the famous “White Town” town of Ostuni, the house is also just a short drive to the charming little fishing harbor of Savelletri and some of Puglia’s loveliest beaches on the Costa Merlata.
Ideally placed for exploring the enchanting Valle d’Itria, the villages of Martina Franca, Cisternino and Locorotondo are some of the most well preserved and fascinating in Puglia. The amazing Torre Guaceto nature reserve is a half-hour south and includes both a widely protected marine and wilderness area perfect for exploring the coastal beauty. Don’t miss the charming old town of Polignano a Mare with breathtaking cliffside views of the Adriatic.
