Florence's Famed Viale dei Colli Neighborhood

Tucked away in the scenic residential area of Viale dei Colli a few minutes south of the city, this charming and petite vacation home for rent in Florence was once a 19th-century carriage house where the guards of Florence stabled their horses to oversee this luxurious area of the city's elite.

Following a top to bottom renovation, the space is now a chic 70's inspired hideaway for two ideally placed in a quiet neighborhood but within easy access to the city.

Just two rooms, the all-in-one living space includes a sitting and dining area and a compact kitchen with a double bedroom for two and a modern en suite bathroom.

Sheltered behind banks of trees in a private walled garden, there's a shaded dining pergola and a hot tub for a relaxing retreat "por due" after a busy day exploring the city.

THE VIALE DEI COLLI

Located just ten minutes outside of town along the famous residential area and scenic route into the city, the Viale dei Colli (named after Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli), was built in 1865 by architect Giuseppe Poggi. Winding it's way along the hillsides lined with cypress among the luxurious mansions of the city's elite, the road offers stunning panoramic views of the city and terminates at the Piazzale Michelangelo.
