An elegant but casual retreat, we love the outdoor living areas and rustic luxe attitude with jaw-dropping views. Perched atop a private hilltop with acres of abundant orchards and gardens, this gated villa is positioned at the end of a ridge overlooking the Mediterranean with 360º views of the surrounding mountains and the inland Lake Viñuela.

Built by local craftsman using local materials and traditional techniques, the authentic handmade character comes out in every detail. Traditional white-washed construction, beamed ceilings and terracotta tiles are nicely paired with a polished selection of elegant bespoke furnishings, a personal art collection and rustic minimalist decor. 

The cozy fireside living area sits off of the fully-equipped country kitchen where you can self-cater or have a private chef whip up some local flavors.

Three of the four bedrooms are located in the west wing of the villa separate from the master on the opposite side. Awash in bright neutrals and simple decor, each is a peaceful retreat.

Designed specifically for outdoor living and play, the Ibiza-style pool terrace and outdoor lounge areas feature built in seating and alfresco dining spaces with a wood fired pizza oven and barbecue. There are hammocks under the canopy and comfy day-beds that invite you to chill out and do a little day dreaming - Andalusian style.

Pairing up with a local specialist in culinary travel, the owners have expanded their services to include a new set of expertly guided cultural and culinary excursions to delve deep into the culture and cuisine of Malaga and Andalusia.  Optional private chef, massage and other services also available.

AROUND 

Set just above the famous Costa Del Sol, the villa offers amazing views of the countryside and the Mediterranean in the distance. The area is culturally rich with historic and romantic whitewashed villages of Moorish origins dotting the hillsides. Torre del Mar beach is a 30-minute drive down the hill and the Sierra Tejada Nature Reserve is at your back door. 

Both offer the best of the natural beauty of Andalusia. The famed cosmopolitan port town of Malaga makes for the ideal day trip while further afield are the renowned cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba.
