Our friends at hinter have just unveiled a new rental retreat located near the Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, Canada. This lodge is part of an holistic enterprise, where commitment to both environmental and cultural responsibility merge. The strongly restrained and minimalist interior invites guests’ own creativity to unfold in the space. Meditating on the gentle sway of the forest through its glass walls, Hintercabin X invites you to contemplate internal and external conditions away from the hustle and bustle of 21st-century living.

The philosophy of this wilderness retreat is based on collaborative and sustainable principles at one with nature. Alliances and synergies are forged via connecting elements of networks and communities.

Hinter (Hinterland is a German word dating back to 1888 and meaning "the land behind," referring to the land beyond any coastal settlement or urban area) not only offers an unforgettable stay for guests but also pays respect to the environment which we all inhabit. Their credo is to give back more than you take from nature: for every booking and every piece of furniture they sell, hinter plants ten trees through their partnership with the non-profit organisation One Tree Planted. Under their motto of comfort, minimalism and nature, the house carries sustainable products such as complimentary toiletries, premium bed linens and coffee.

Here, both nature and art enthusiasts can enjoy fulfilling activities. Whether you gaze at the mountain views, listen to the sounds of the forest, or cook to the calming crackling of the fireplace, there is something for everyone. One of the first carbon-negative art galleries is part of hinter (opening early 2022). On display is a series of photographic works of nature featuring collaborations from visual artists from around the globe.

This cabin for rent in Canada occupies a 970 sqft open-plan space with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining and living room area and bathroom. With two bedrooms, it can sleep up to four people in two queen size beds.

This cabin for rent in Canada is a 15-minute drive from Mont Tremblant and its well-known ski resort. However, proximity to other parks and trails makes it a great year-round destination. Spend the day at the 1,500-acre Domaine St Bernard, with its hiking trails, swimming, biking, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoeing. Tremblant and St Jovite have a variety of good restaurants to choose from, and the Scandinavian baths at Spa Scandinave offer a discount to guests. When it's not snowing, the Mount-Tremblant resort has a race track, golf courses, ziplines, and other outdoor activities.
