Palermo Hollywood's First. Still Its Best.

Home Hotel is Buenos Aires' original design boutique hotel, opened in 2005 by music producer Tom Rixton and Patricia O'Shea in the heart of Palermo Hollywood. Twenty rooms dressed in vintage wallpaper, a vine-draped pool garden, a holistic spa, and a restaurant beloved by locals.

It began, as the best things often do, with a wedding. When British music producer Tom Rixton and his Argentine-Irish wife Patricia O'Shea found nowhere worthy of housing their guests in Palermo in 2002, they built the answer themselves. Three years later, Home opened as Argentina's first design boutique hotel — and it has never stopped feeling like someone's extremely well-curated home. Cement floors, mid-century Florence Knoll sofas, blond-wood furniture foraged from flea markets, and a different piece of vintage wallpaper (some dating to 1923) in every room. There is a vine-smothered pool garden, a holistic spa, and a restaurant the neighbourhood has quietly claimed as its own.

Palermo Hollywood's First. Still Its Best.

Created by Buenos Aires native Patricia O’Shea and her English husband Tom Rixton, th-s award winning hotel has received rave reviews from Conde Nast Traveler, Wallpaper, Travel & Leisure and more.

Conceived and developed as a place for visiting friends, the property was created with a meticulous eye for design as well as comfort. Decorated in vibrant colors and retro chic style, each of the rooms are designed in contemporary minimalism with classic Scandinavian furnishings and vintage wallpaper from the couples personal collection.

With a total of 18 rooms as well as two lofts, you'll have a choice of standard, superior or two large suites complete with Jacuzzis and private terraces and entrances. Split over two floors, the lofts are located beside the main hotel and feature spacious interiors, fully equipped kitchens and outdoor terraces with traditional Argentine BBQs.

Poolside is the place to be in summer surrounded by fragrant gardens and the super cool ‘resto-bar’ that serves experimental cocktails with a soundtrack spun by visiting DJs. Or you can head to the spa for some blissful massage and pampering.
