A Luxuriously Traditional Puglian Country Home
Located in a magical private setting among the olive groves on over two acres, this vacation home rental in Puglia was a passion project for a husband-and-wife team united by a common love of the region, its people and traditions.
Starting with a dilapidated trullo, interior designer Gian Paolo Guerra constructed this luxurious holiday home with understated elegance and quaint charms. Focusing as much on the careful restoration of the interiors as the expansive park-like grounds that celebrate the outdoors, the duo created spaces in perfect balance between past and present.
Inspired by traditional Puglian design and the Mediterranean landscape, the buildings are composed entirely of stone and limestone in a striking update to their rural origins.
The interiors are welcoming and intimate, with a calm neutral palette, soft light, and a stylish but understated selection of Italian designers and handcrafts, including ceramics from nearby Grottaglie that add dashes of color in an inspired synthesis of contemporary and rustic design.
Created to highlight the beauty of outdoor living, the property immerses you in the scents and sounds of the Puglian countryside.
Laid out on over two and a half acres of olive groves and grassy parkland, this vacation home rental in Puglia consists of a newly-built central stone lamia housing the living room, a fully-equipped kitchenette and two double bedrooms with their en suite bathrooms.
Separated from the central home is the completely restored original lamia and attached Saracen trullo, transformed into a cozy and intimate double suite, whose bathroom was refashioned from the vaulted stone alcove of the old structure. All rooms are equipped with TV, a safe, mosquito nets and blackout curtains.
The grounds are expansive and private, with outdoor gazebos with shady areas dedicated to relaxation, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, BBQ and dining area for entertaining and enjoying time alfresco. Ideal for families with children who can play to their hearts' content in the extensive lawns and grounds.
There’s ample space on the sundeck for lounging poolside in the sunbeds to fully enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Puglian countryside.

The Guestbook

We had a wonderful time at Lamia del Riccio. The white town nearby with its beautiful streets and always busy evenings. At the invitation of the owner of Lamia del Riccio we had a tour of one 12th generation pottery company. The place is great, the outdoor kitchen is a breath of fresh air, we had breakfast and bbqs outside all week. The air conditioners were also a welcome relief after a day at the beach. In short, we enjoyed it immensely.
Beautiful Lamia with lots of outdoor space! Nice outdoor kitchen and sitting area, the pool is close to the house and to keep an eye on because of small children. All facilities available and sufficient. Very nice reception and very nice help when we had a problem with the car. They are directly at your service and help you through the Italian bureaucracy! Very lovely people from Lamia del Riccio.
Lamia del Riccio is a very nice and quiet place to enjoy your vacation with family or friends. The highlight was the outdoor kitchen! There was everything we needed to cook. Once in a week the cleaning ladys came and cleaned the whole house and changed towels and lines. At our arrival Emanuela gave us a welcome basked with some wine, homemade limoncello, olive oil and typical puglia food. We felt in love with every detail of the house and we will come back soon! The owner (Giovanna) was 24/7 there for us via. Everything is well organized! Thanks a lot!
Amazing place in puglia, very close to Ostuni! We loved every second! The place is absolutely stunning, we arrived in the evening and it’s so beautifully lit! The main villa has two great bedrooms which were perfect for the three of us. And the outside space is just amazing! Giovanna provided us with a baby cot and all we needed (tips, recommendation and any help we could ask for) and the communication was fantastic! We absolutely loved it here and will be back for sure!
