Climbing over two stories high above the rugged mountain landscape, this holiday home in Laurel Canyon has been crafted as a living work of art. Set atop the LA basin with views from every room, this bold geometric home is as surprising inside as it is out.

Designed by LA-based architect Jeffrey Eyster and immortalized as the last home to be photographed by famed architectural photographer Julius Shulman, the home's image has been published around the world.

Towering above the city, the vast, open plan living area features fold-away windows that transform the spaces into a dramatic open-air habitat. Despite the walls of glass and sweeping views, the home's placement affords surprising privacy and intimacy. Minimalist in tone and decor, the interiors feature sleek modern finishes, warm teak accents and a vibrant and eclectic collection of art and furnishings

The designer kitchen is a sleek state of the art hub with island seating and professional-grade appliances for easy entertaining.

Upstairs, the stately master suite includes a sitting area and office nook and stunning wall-to-wall canyon views, and a spa-like bathroom.

There are two additional double bedrooms with similar layouts, a shared bath, and direct access to the patio. One is outfitted as a music room with electric and acoustic guitars, while the other features a custom-designed surf theme.

The terraces and outdoor lounge areas are perfect for soaking in the views and dining outside.

Around

The home is located in famed Laurel Canyon adjacent to and ideally situated for access to the best of LA. It's a short drive to all of the action on the Sunset Strip, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the west side for the best dining, shopping, and nightlife. Further east is the resurrected and thriving downtown district and a half-hour west are the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice, with Malibu and the Santa Monica mountains for the best of outdoor recreation. There are excellent local hiking trails in both Laurel Canyon and a couple of miles east to Runyon Canyon.

The deposit is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days before arrival. The booking total is refundable up to 30 days before arrival. If the booking is canceled 29-14 days before arrival, there will be a 50% refund. Within 13 days from arrival, it is non-refundable. Any portion of the Boutique service fee that has already been paid is non-refundable.

Thank you for your interest in my home. Smoking and pets are not allowed inside my home (I am allergic to both). No parties or loud sounds as it is a quiet neighborhood with very limited parking. Parties or gatherings in my neighborhood and the Hollywood Hills in general are specifically banned by the City of Los Angeles and carry a fine. For this reason, I do not permit additional guests beyond those listed on a reservation without prior approval. I only have two parking spots in front of my wall at street level. And, do not prefer bookings with more than two cars. I have 52 steps up to my home and no elevator. Due to fire risk in the Hollywood Hills and for general security purposes I have three outdoor Ring cameras that are used to monitor the safety of the home. Please share the names of the guests who will be staying with you. And, be prepared to show your government-issued ID upon arrival so we can assure we are allowing entry to the person who is making the reservation. Lastly, the home can only be booked for stays on Boutique Homes. As such, I do not accept bookings for shoots (photo or film) on this platform and I also charge a different rate. If you are interested in booking the home for a shoot, please reach out via the home's website.
