In a UNESCO World Heritage Landscape, a Villa With 18th Century Roots
Winemaking in Piedmont is legend. The rolling terrain between the Alps and the Appenines provides the soil for Barbera, Barolo and Barbaresco, with another remarkable "B" that's ripe for discovery: the charming hamlet of Bossalasco, home to Le Due Matote.
Owners Constanza and Andrea took great care to make this 18th-century villa a warm and welcoming haven, starting with the marigold-hued facade and the turquoise blue shutters. Vintage objects add historic charm to the interiors, enclosed by both stone and hand-painted walls.
This villa in Italy has eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, accommodating up to sixteen guests. Each of them is painted in soft, rich pigment, with elegant furnishings. We love the Louis XIV Suite, with its clawfoot tub in the middle of the room and a vaulted ceiling with a skylight.
Wellness is also a focus at the villa, offering in-house wines from a beautiful old cellar, and a spa with both traditional and infrared saunas, plus a massage room.
Outdoors, a pool awaits with sun beds and sun umbrellas, attached to a cozy terrace surrounded by roses - the perfect spot for romantic dinners.
This is a place for those who love charm, wine, and the pleasures of a gorgeous landscape.

Personally sourced wines available for purchase. Guests may also visit the home's wine cellar and make a selection - the owners will serve it along with locally sourced cheeses and jams.
The Village of Roses
Bossolasco, with over 300 varieties, is known as the Village of the Roses. It's especially lovely when in bloom, come spring and summer.
The surrounding Langhe region was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2014. The vineyard landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato cover five distinct wine-growing areas with outstanding landscapes and the ancient Castle of Cavour (which now houses an ethnological museum as well as the Michelin Star restaurant, Marc Lanteri Al Castello).
Needless to say the region is great for exploring vineyards and tasting wines.
