Ar-Tek's Stylized Take on Cabin Life
Located along the banks of the Ignon River in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte-d’Or, these cabin rentals in France are in stark but harmonious contrast to their environs. Designed by French architect Richard Cretin of Ar-Tek, the ultra-modern silhouettes make a bold statement on simple living and design and an inspired approach to vacation style.
Two unique installations on a property that includes a 19th-century mill (Moulin de la Roche) and farmhouse, the homes are an innovative and stylized version of rustic cabins and employ unique architectural angles. Immersive and cleverly designed to capture the views while creating chic and intimate living spaces, they are an enchanting and modern approach in communion with nature.
The property has been granted four stars by Côte d'Or Tourism and was developed by the owner to celebrate and share the landscape. After a life full of travel and with extensive experience in tourism, he returned to settle on the land of his childhood, and with the help of architect Richard Cretin, envisioned and designed as an upscale, ultra-contemporary holiday home.
An exceptional spectacle any time of the day, you’ll be visited by the Gallinules, ducks, herons, storks, deer, foxes, and come nightfall, marvel at a sky full of stars.
The separate units are situated a good distance apart to preserve privacy.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES

AROUND
Burgundy’s Côte-d’Or just north of Dijon is famous for the beauty of its landscapes and of course, for its fine wines. An oenophile’s paradise of bucolic countryside and world class vineyards, wine lovers will want to explore the Route des Grands Crus which spans from Santenay to Dijon and includes the Nuits-Saint-Georges commune and the beautiful walled town of Beaune. Along with the rolling hills and forested countryside, the area is one of the most popular and historically significant regions.
Don’t miss a visit to the 14th-century UNESCO designated Abbey at Fontenay, and charming nearby villages such as Flavigny, Montbard’s Ville Fleurie (town in bloom), and the exceedingly picturesque hilltop town of Semur-en-Auxois.
Burgundy’s capital of Dijon is a historic gem with a tightly knit maze of Renaissance, Gothic and even Art Deco architecture, with a pedestrian-friendly center and vibrant street scene. Be sure to visit the Musée des Beaux-Arts, in the vast Palace of the Dukes, which houses an impressive collection of sculptures, paintings and antiquities.
