A Private 18th-Century Home Turned Chic B&B
Long on style in an uncomplicated country setting, this beautifully restored, 18th-century French mansion remains down to earth without compromising luxury and comfort. We love the largely undiscovered location, privacy and feeling of home. Each of the four rooms and independent garden apartment features original architectural details such as marble fireplaces, and elegantly curated furnishings that blend local vintage finds and modern designs in an array of rich, dark-hued colors and both raw and refined materials.
A beautiful walled garden, terrace, a plunge pool and conservatory are great for unwinding. A gracious communal table adds to the country home romance. And the home's upper level features a library and reading room with art and travel books.
Rooms 1-4 feature ensuite or private baths and wifi reception. Luxurious 100% linen bedding tops handmade mattresses, Aesop bath products are offered, and each room has garden views. Breakfast is included.
The garden apartment was formerly the wood shop and is independent from the main house. There is no wifi service, though the apartment benefits from its own living room and kitchenette. Built across three levels, the apartment has a queen bed and two single daybeds in the living room as extra sleep spaces, all with pretty garden views. Reclaimed wood was used throughout; the textiles are natural linen, and the bathroom features a classic clawfoot tub. Note that the stairs to the apartment's third level are steep.
Additional features
Only environmentally-friendly cleaning products are used throughout the home. Wake up to morning croissants and cafe au lait in the garden and relax over evening drinks on the terrace. The owners hand select all of the quality food and beverages and look for locally-grown and sourced items.
