Cool & Crisp Urban Style
This bright and bold apartment is located on the second floor of a mid-century building in one of Milan's most authentic residential neighborhoods. Recently updated by its architect and art director owners, the 1937 apartment features carefully chosen new and vintage Italian design pieces, as well as an extraordinary collection of art and photography pieced together over many years.
Much of its character comes from its original design. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are tucked away, separate from the rest of the apartment, through a door at the end of a long corridor. By contrast, the living area is open plan, using original deco-style wooden archways to frame the passageways and guide guests from one space to another. We love the apartment's dramatic floors, a striking blend of wood, polished mosaics and dramatic geometric tiles that constantly shape the space.
The apartment has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, an entrance hall, a double living area (one for relaxing and reading, one for television), a dining room with seating for eight guests, and a large, industrial-style kitchen with a family dining table.
This vacation home for rent in Italy is an inspiring base for a weekend escape, summer or holiday break.
Around
This vacation home for rent in Italy is located in the authentic and historical heart of Milan, close to the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church and Dominican Monks' Monastery, famous for the Last Supper wall painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. It's also within easy reach of the artistic Brera District, the San Vittore al Corpo Church, Science Museum, Cattolica University, Sforza Castle and park, Sant'Ambrogio Church, and Duomo Church.
It's midway between two subway stations, Sant'Ambrogio on the green line and Conciliazione on the red line. Secure parking is available 50m from the building at additional cost. There are excellent supermarkets, cafes and bars within easy reach, and all kinds of food deliveries are available.
The owners highly recommend visits to the Triennale Milano, a design and art museum in the Palazzo dell'Arte; Mudec, the Museo delle Culture, an ethnographic museum designed by British architect David Chipperfield; the Fondazione Prada, a space for contemporary art and culture, located in a former gin distillery; the Pirelli Hangar Bicocca, a former Pirelli factory turned contemporary art space; and the world-famous exhibition space, the Palazzo Reale.
