Surrounded by regal and stately architecture, the city's mansions, green boulevards and parks are perfect for walking and taking in the foodie culture, museums, shops and nightlife. 

Situated along the North Sea coast of the western Netherlands, the seaside suburb of Scheveningen has a large stretch of sandy beach (chilly most of the year but great for sunbathing in summer) and a cheerful pub, cafe and kitschy seaside scene.
