Facing Thumb Cove at the front and Middle Point Cove to the back along the southern Atlantic, this is your antidote to pretense and thinking too hard.
Set along the shores of the Atlantic, this cabin rental in Martha's Vineyard is simplicity at its rustic best. The expansive property overlooks the Great West Tisbury Pond and its own private beach, with enough elbow room and privacy among the woods for a peaceful escape.
The exteriors are all New England cottage charm, with sharp angles and large windows that let in the light. The interiors are rough-hewn and handmade with interrelated spaces on the ground floor that include a sitting area, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. There is one bedroom in the back A area that sleeps five guests, a middle bedroom that sleeps four, and a master loft bedroom that sleeps two.
Created a communal camp destination, it's perfect to share with friends and family. There are outdoor areas for dining and a pathway that leads down to the sand for catching sunsets and hanging out by the shore.
MARTHA'S VINEYARD
Accessible solely by boat and air, Martha's Vineyard has been a storied summer colony and home to some of the country's wealthiest, bold-faced names throughout history. But it's also a natural beauty, unique to the cluster of islands off of the Cape Cod Peninsula including Nantucket, Naushon and Nashawena and Chappaquiddick.
The Atlantic ocean is a 20-minute walk or kayak ride to the spectacular South Beach of Martha's Vineyard. Its miles of shoreline famous beaches including Moshup and Menemsha, sheltered coves and parklands including Aquinnah Cliffs and Cape Poge Wildlife Refuge on Chappaquidick, offer the best of New England's wild natural resources. The cabin backs onto the Long Point Wildlife Refuge, and the Correllus State Forest is a just a few miles north.
Due to its size, the island is perfect for biking distances and can be traversed by car in under an hour. Oak Bluffs with the famous, historic Flying Horses carousel is within a half-hour and the area is home to quaint villages, seafood shacks, lighthouses, and historic estates and cottages.
