A Reimagined Island Legacy
Originally a 1960s island residence, ONA was transformed by the design team behind Liostasi into a modern homage to Cycladic ease. The architecture favors organic curves and thick whitewashed walls that soften the Mediterranean sun. By stripping the home back to its essentials, the designers created a tactile environment where marble floors and lime-washed surfaces allow the light to act as art.
Natural materials define the aesthetic, from the rough-hewn stone countertops in the modern kitchen to the built-in plaster beds and storage. Soft neutral tones and Mediterranean textiles complement the arched windows, which frame the sea like living paintings. Every piece of furniture serves a purpose, fostering an atmosphere of calm and uncluttered stillness.
Living expands outward onto multiple levels of stone-paved terraces shaded by traditional pergolas. The centerpiece is the curved infinity pool, which integrates a shallow lounge area for sea-gazing. A covered outdoor terrace provides a secluded spot for dining, while the surrounding 1.7-acre estate is planted with native flora, ensuring total privacy and panoramic views of the Ios harbor and coastline.
