A Family-Friendly California Beauty
This elegantly appointed family-friendly home, walking distance from the bluffs and village in the Pacific Palisades, offers six bedrooms, five full (and two half) bathrooms, a Tracy Anderson dance studio and gym, a loft office, a steam shower and sauna, plus outdoor play structures, bikes, scooters, games and puzzles for the kids. It is accented by contemporary art, and filled with custom-made furnishings like Rose Uniacke dining chairs, an Eskayel rug, a vibrant white library, and operable walls of windows. Little wonder that the residence is featured in Domino magazine.
Architectural standouts include its high ceilings, terraces tucked into all levels for classic California indoor-outdoor living, and notable interior design details, from the sleek pendant fixtures of the foyer and stairs, to the rich cabinetry that pops beautifully against the striking kitchen marble.
Outdoor spaces make up their own designer living realm, with a rooftop lounge that takes in Pacific panoramas, a kitchen/grill zone, a rooftop jacuzzi, and a dining/lounge area right outside the open-plan kitchen and living room.
Bed sizes range from king-sized to single, including four built-in bunks in a room kids will love.
Around
Pacific Palisades is tucked between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean in Los Angeles, its multi-million-dollar residences bright and beautiful, with coastline views and easy access to the beach at Will Rogers State Park. Tranquil and private, the neighborhood offers polish and peacefulness at the heart of celebrity LA, featuring its own “downtown” area, known as The Village, a lively zone of boutique shopping, farm-to-table cafes, hip coffee houses, cocktail bars and gourmet restaurants walking distance from the property.
The area is home to beach and country clubs and manicured, walkable streets. Parks and hiking paths wind through the lush community, which is tight knit and family friendly. Restaurants are abundant, and local greengrocers are mostly of the organic and locally-sourced variety. Considered one of LA’s greenest neighborhoods, the area offers beautiful scenery, swaying palms and flowering yards, with many paths, one leading to the Will Rogers State Historic Park and Beach.
Palisades Park is the neighborhood’s largest green space, set atop dramatic bluffs (also walking distance from the house) with show-stopping sunset views plus all the requisite family-friendly amenities like baseball diamonds and tennis courts, a hockey rink, several playgrounds and plenty of vast green lawns for lounging. The Getty Villa, with its stunning Roman-inspired gardens and architecture, stands guard over the coastline along the Pacific Coast Highway, just a short distance from the house.
