An Old Stone Home Of Original Greek Craftsmanship & History
With the original stone masonry and structure still intact and beautifully preserved this kind of simple living makes us want to break bread, drink wine and snuggle in! An Old Stone Home Of Original Greek Craftsmanship & History
With the original stone masonry and structure still intact and beautifully preserved, this kind of simple living makes us want to break bread, drink wine, and snuggle in! The fireplaces in each bedroom, the genuinely personal decor, and the mostly modest updates in conveniences make this an authentic Grecian country experience.
Originally built in the 18th century, the house is a reflection of the region's castellated homes begun in the 17th-Century and was influenced by similar Turkish constructions of the period.
Sturdy and built to last, this bi-level archontiko(stone mansion) has been carefully restored without sacrificing it's history and original craftsmanship. Exposed stone and vaulted wood ceilings take you back in time while the whitewashed walls and bold color accents keep it cool and playful. Steeped in comfort and inviting hospitality, the eclectic collectibles and furnishings are an offbeat and spirited mix of traditional and ethnic design.
With a total of three bedrooms divided between floors, there is plenty of space for privacy with the two bedrooms in the upper floor featuring their own fireplace. The main sitting area is flooded with natural light from over thirteen windows lined along a window box occupying the best area in front of the main fireplace for a bright and intimate gathering spot. The kitchen is an efficient compact adaptation in stone and fun, bright colored accents for the adjacent dining area that accommodates six.
The lush courtyard and gardens are a peaceful place to enjoy the views of the countryside.
Pinakates Pelion offers a comfortable and authentic experience and a lasting legacy of Grecian culture.
GREECE'S MYTHICAL MOUNTAIN
Considered one of the most beautiful and mythical mountains in Greece, Pelion is a hook-like peninsula between the Pagasetic Gulf and the Aegean Sea, once believed to be the birthplace of Centaurs.
With a plethora of beaches, Pelion is an all-season destination. With mostly moderate temperatures throughout the year, there are outdoor activities to enjoy for both summer and winter. There are mountain and coastal hiking, along with sandy beaches to unwind and enjoy the sea.
At the higher elevations, the green wonderland presents climbing, trekking, skiing and winter sports activities. The nearby villages, Milies and Vyzitsa, are only a short distance to shopping, sightseeing and taverns for a taste of the local specialties.
