A Pastoral Hamlet on the Cote 'd'Armor
Located just a short drive inland from the Côtes d’Armor in Brittany, this barn conversion is a striking mix of old and new. A combination of brick, wood, and wrought iron give it a cool industrial feel, but cosy furnishings and vintage pieces create real warmth and character. In addition, this property is conveniently located for exploring Brittany, and is ideally suited for a family vacation.

Developed and conceived by a local family, the property was converted and transformed into an estate that includes several original and creatively restored outbuildings.
The first floor of La Grange is an open-plan living area with a beautiful high-gabled ceiling, and sectioned-off master bedroom. An iron staircase and suspended walkway lead to the loft bedroom above. This room is designed for kids, with its three single beds – but can be used for guests of all ages.
We love the use of natural materials throughout the barn. Exposed or painted stone walls and wooden beams and panelling are mixed with heavy iron railings, and floor-to-ceiling glass. Vintage furnishings and bric-a-brac, splashes of orange and abundant natural light bring the property to life. Large photographs pay tribute to Isidore, the welder whose skills created the ironwork.
The kitchen has refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave and coffeemakers. The living room has a a flat-screen TV and a wood-burning stove (with wood provided).
As a real working farm, the surrounding landscape has grazing horses and cattle, wandering chickens and acres of edible crops. At the family restaurant and shop a couple of miles up the road, you can taste the bounty of the local harvest and wander the gardens. The kids can also enjoy pony rides and interacting with the farm animals.

Optional daily breakfast delivered to your door. Wifi throughout, flat screen TV and selection of books, maps and guides. Housekeeping and laundry facilities. Optional baby equipment includes: a travel cot and mattress, highchair, baby bath and changing mat with extra toys and games and optional childcare available upon request. Wood for wood-burning stoves provided in winter months. On-site parking.
Around
The Côtes d’Armor in Brittany are renowned for the stunning natural beauty of the Pink Granite Coast and the Emerald Coast and is also known for its charming historic towns of Dinan, Lannion, Tréguier and Moncontour and the walled city of St. Malo. Stretching along the Atlantic coast, there are miles of stunning beaches within a 10-minute drive as well as the local towns of Perros-Guirec and Bréhat.
The neighboring Normandy coast is within a three-hour drive, where you can explore nearby Cherbourg, Mont-Saint-Michel and the famous D-Day beaches. But closer to home, there's also plenty to do - from markets and castles to beaches, gardens and forests. There are horse-riding clubs, swimming pools, walking and cycling tracks, and golf courses.
The farm is divided into two parts. The owners grow wheat, barley, elephant grass and maize in the grounds around the cottages (which is also inhabited by some friendly cows and hens). The rest of the farm is 3km away, surrounding the family farm restaurant. There are more cows there, as well as ponies, which children are welcome to ride in the summer months.
