An Architectural Series of Pink-Hued Beach Houses

Curving across a clifftop high above a private, white-sand beach on Mexico’s Pacific coastline, this series of moradas (Spanish for homes) are rose-toned beauties surrounded by the Riviera de Nayarit’s lush jungle. Designed by Manuel Cervantes with interiors by Chain + Siman, the homes incorporate local color (rosa y morada), native resources (rosa morada wood), and a softly hued, surfside aesthetic. Each of the four moradas fits eight guests and overlooks the swirling ocean, featuring four bedrooms (two kings and two doubles) with private baths, an extra half bath/powder room, an open-plan living area and separate TV room, a modern kitchen and an ocean-view terrace. There's also a private plunge pool at each.

Interiors feature angular modern styling and furnishings created from the Rosa Morada tree’s wood, fusing craftsmanship, tradition and rich local wood. There’s a dedicated private chef for each of the four homes, an on-site concierge team. Outdoor areas are equipped with Big Green Egg grills and private deck spaces, with a Zen jungle path leading around the coastal complex and down to the beach.

Additional Features

Guided hiking, yoga sessions, bird watching, sound healing and meditation, surf instruction, boat rentals and personal training are available at an additional fee, as are airport transfers, and access to beach clubs.

The wood used in the homes’ construction is from Mic Mac, a brand committed to using wood exclusively from certified sawmills and paying attention to minimizing water usage. The property avoids single-use plastic bottles in their daily operation and has a sustainable approach to linen and towel changes and other housekeeping practices.

The Riviera Nayarit is known for its white-sand beaches backed by rugged, jungle-clad cliffs. San Pancho itself is a small village tucked between the Sierra Madre Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, less well-traveled than other areas of this coastline. Once a fishing village, the area is also a birdwatchers’ paradise—a land of vibrant tropical birds such as parrots and trogons and majestic raptors/eagles. Coastal waters offer whale watching in season and loads of playful dolphins, all of it blanketed or backed by lush jungles of soaring palms and colorful orchids. Those who seek active sands will find the beaches of San Pancho alive with sports enthusiasts playing beach volleyball and soccer, surfing or learning to ride the waves with local guides. Moving away from the beach, there's plenty og hiking and biking through the dense vegetation. On the food front, taco stands abound, and there are plenty of high-end restaurants offering culinary experiences as well, both in San Pancho and in the busier neighboring communities.
