A modern-day castle overlooking the sea, this property is both architecturally imposing and surprisingly playful. There's nothing like making a great first impression. This villa does just that, with its strong lines and a simple color palette of grey tile and stone, combined with rich woods. White pillars prop up split-level terraces, overlooking perfectly manicured lawns, tropical vegetation and spectacular views of the Mediterranean.

Luckily, it follows the first impression with an abundance of everything. Six bedrooms, most with their own bathrooms, TVs, music systems and sea-view terraces. A living room with a large poolside dining area. And two fully-equipped kitchens - one inside and the other outside. Not that you ever need to use them - a private chef is on call. And many other services are available on request.

And when we say playful, we really mean it. It has its own spectacular infinity pool (with a section perfect for small children), outdoor lounging space and a large spa. But fun surprises include a putting green, a billiards room and ping pong table.

AROUND

The villa as exceptional views of panorama over Pinarellu Bay, with a  white sand beach only 700m away, should you decide you want to leave the premises. If you do, there's plenty to keep you occupied. The historical seaside town of Porto Vecchio, the Corsican St Tropez, has boutiques, cafes, great restaurants and nightlife. There are also great family-friendly beaches nearby.

Also within easy reach is Bonifacio, dramatically perched on a clifftop with a historic citadel. It's perfectly located for exploring the island's southermost beaches and Iles Lavezzi.
