Originally an industrial building, this luxury beach house rental in France was converted by a well known interior designer into an elegant modern villa with private direct access to the shores of the Thau Lagoon.

Located between Sète and the charming village of Bouzigues, it's a unique and exclusive property with fabulous 180˚ views across the water and the picturesque coastal landscapes.

The structure's former industrial feel has been cleverly integrated into the renovations and has been replaced by a calm sense of refinement and relaxed elegance.

The interiors have been shaped to offer maximum exposure to the view with the ground floor living areas and two main bedrooms on the first floor boasting glass walls that warm the spaces from the sun. 

The open-plan layout, clean lines, and artistic tones make a refined, contemporary statement with moody saturated color blocking and soothing neutrals blending with the modern furnishings and statement art pieces including life-size sculptures, a grand piano, and abstract art. 

The en-suite master, one double bedroom, and one children's bedroom are on the second floor with an additional triple bedroom on the ground floor with room for up to nine guests.

The fully equipped modern kitchen features a central island and breakfast bar, with uninterrupted views onto the lagoon and surrounding gardens. 

The large waterfront terrace and gardens include a covered dining area with barbecueand a hexagonal swimming pool, and as with most rooms in the house, provides different quiet, vantage points from which to take it easy and enjoy the views.

The villa is located in Balaruc-les-bains, near Sète in the South of France. A spa town, it is known for its restorative and therapeutic warm thermal springs.

The lively and elegant 17th-century port town of Sète is located at the foot of Mont St Clair on the far eastern end of the lagoon and is laid out along a series of canals bustling with fishing boats and waterfront traffic. The town is renowned for its seafood (naturally) and has a large Italian population which is also reflected in the regional cuisine with many excellent cafes and restaurants and a lively market.   

Nearby Mont St Clair is a short drive or a steep walk from the heart of Sete from where you'll have a panoramic view of the Mediterranean, the lagoons, and the town.

Nearby Bouzigues, known for the best oysters in the region, is just 10 minutes away. Montpellier is a 20-minute drive northeast.
