We love that architect Peter Lacko created these simple yet modern cottages in such a peaceful and remote area and that care was taken to blend with the natural environment.

Designed by Czech architect Peter Lacko, and nestled into the countryside of Sumava National Park, these cabins are inspired by the traditional Bohemian dwellings of the 18th and 19th centuries. Simple and functional, they are nevertheless designed with a modernist's eye and lines that enhance the space and surroundings.

Set deep in the woods and down a long private road, these homes were made for enjoying nature, solitude, and privacy. Each has been designed with a light touch and a fresh take on cabin living, with minimal updates for modern convenience.

Carefree and bright, the interiors and windows invite nature in and the beamed loft-style ceilings create a spacious and warm ambiance. Featuring two king bedrooms and two full baths each, the cottages accommodate up to seven and include a separate optional single bed.

Fully equipped and designed with large gatherings in mind, the kitchens are intentionally positioned to be part of the main living and dining area to create a family-style experience.

Large decks on either side of each cottage take advantage of the outdoors with minimal intrusion into the landscape which remains completely untouched.

Bright and light-filled, Sumava Cottages are family-friendly models of communal living and coexisting in harmony with nature.
